Alot has been going on lately in Israel:
AFTER more than a month of negotiation, Israel’s foreign minister, Tzipi Livni, who was recently elected head of Kadima, the biggest party in the ruling coalition, has given up her struggle to form a fresh coalition government. Instead, a general election will be held in February. The latest opinion polls put Ms Livni a shade ahead of Binyamin Netanyahu, leader of the right-wing Likud party, with Ehud Barak of Labour far behind in third place.
The ECONOMIST has a good_look at the latest developments in Israel. MediaShack’s Israel-Palestine coverage has slacked lately because director of the Isr-Pal desk, Dr Hairgel, has been taken out of blogging commision by…. grad school. Dude, how ’bout hittin us up with a post every once in a while?
